GM high side port rubber ball
GM high side port has a high side has like a rubber ball inside. Think it comes that is OEM. Looks like the replacement port also has that rubber ball. (It is leaking slightly. Doreman makes a brass screw that is screw that supposedly helps to prevent any loss of Freon. Have not tried it yet). I tri...

Re: 72 DeVile retrofit
Thank you Yes, I agree. When they required a license to get R12, I took test. The guy I bought car from tried to put 134a into it. He bought the adapters that screw over the R12 port. He stripped the high side. I had R12 so I put some in and got it down to about 34-36. Held for several yrs. On a 40+...

72 DeVile retrofit
Hi I have a 72 DeVile 472 engine. Harrison A6 compressor. 2 fan belts. Has R12 and is holding freon. Like to keep it stock or at best close to looking like stock. Compressor is bolted on top of the intake manifold. Thinking of putting a electric fuel pump (in tank) and upgrading carburetor. I want t...

Green O-rings/seals
For green O-rings and the metal and Green seal material on compressor gaskets.
For installation should I use PAG or Super silicone grease (by super lube).
Silicone grease probably help keep in place and does not dry out.
Thank you

Re: Black rubber ball/low psi off
Yes I agree So easy just to put in a new valve than sticking rubber ball in it. They charged me enough to do it right. Give shops a bad name. Guess I will not ask them to fix anything again. I might let garage pull Vacume. I don't have a recovery machine. They sell a replacment high side port with S...

Black rubber ball/low psi off
Hi Had my car A/C charged up at a shop a few yrs ago. Never worked very good. Guy told me he fixed leaking valve. When I went to put on gauges I can not get a hi-side reading. The coupling attached but can not force the ball deep enough to get any reading. Looks like he put a black rubber ball insid...
