Is Sercon RJ12 ok to refill my system?
Is it the same as plain R12?
Thanks!

Re: Jumping Pressure Switch
Thanks! First step is to find the leak(s).
What r12 can tap would you recommend when refilling?

Re: Jumping Pressure Switch
Yes, no leaks.
I think I misread the gauges before. I checked them again.
low side - 40 (compressor off) 21 (when compressor is on)
high side - 102 (compressor off) 120(when compressor is on)
cycles rapidly....

Re: Jumping Pressure Switch
O.K. here are my pressure readings...
at 79 degrees outside temp.
High side- 100 when compressor off and 110 when it runs (on and off ever 3 seconds)
Low side- 94 when the compressor is off and 97 when it runs (on and off ever 3 seconds)
Whats the probable cause for the cycle rapidly?
Thanks!

Re: Jumping Pressure Switch
I read online to jump the switch and see if the compressor runs... I did it for 3 seconds.
What does that tell me?

Jumping Pressure Switch
Hi,
I'm trying diagnose my '91 Chevy S-10 R12 issues. I'm waiting on a GM high side adapter to test pressures.
But in the mean time, I jumped to lower pressure switch and the compressor kept running.
What does that indicated?
Thanks Kevin
